When I first saw this image I thought it was fake ... until I googled it and found more information. These cube-shaped watermelons are actually grown in Japan. They are planted in glass square boxes. The reasons for these un-fruity forms: better fit for transport, the fridge and cutting the fruits is easier as they won't roll around ... what form is next?
